A paradise for surf and sailin...
Given its geographical position, Capotesta is exposed to western winds that predominate through the seasons. Most surfers and sailors appreciate this characteristic, specially during spring and autumn. In the summer, the strong mistral and westerly winds help to freshen up the temperature, which is the mildest in the whole of Sardinia. The average temperature isn’t normally over 24,5 ºC, and the minimum during winter doesn’t go below 9 ºC.
The charm of wild nature...
The main flora is typical of the Mediterranean, made of holm-oaks, mastic trees, euphorbias, phyllireas, cedars, helichrysos and Spanish brooms. The fauna is very diversified as well, consisting of wild boars, hares, hawks, herring gulls, Corsican gulls, moorhens, cormorants and the splendid turtles. The sea at CapoTesta is, where not subject to ties, full of a great variety of fish: sea breams, white sea breams, giltheads, amberjacks, small tunnas and sea basses.

Interesting itineraries between history and landscapes...
Many interesting archaelogical sites are spread through the area: roman quarries, the tombstones of the giants, roman columns along the beaches and under the sea, the nuraghic village of Lu Brandali…
For amateur photographers, the territory offers fantastic occasions for marvellous shots such as: the granite formations sculped by the wind into incredible shapes, tafoni (cavernous weathering hollows) and caves, and sunsets of matchless beauty.
For those keen on subaquatic sports like scuba diving, exploring the seabed is tremendously exciting, since you’ll have the opportunity to see granite formations under water and unique madreporarian.
